Bhutan telecom Limited would like to inform our valued customers that due to land slide at Takti where a BPC transmission tower was affected (OPGW link), the B-Mobile services at some parts of the following places will be disrupted: Arekha, Chargarey, Changmari and Tendu.
However B-Mobile service is available at Phuentsholing, Gomtu, Pasakha, Gedu, Tshimasham and Samtse.

BTL would like to inform all Internet Lease line customers running their own name servers to immediately upgrade their BIND software. There has been a serious bug found on the existing BIND software, if not upgraded on time, will make your Name Server (DNS) very vulnerable to attack from hackers and Internet and e-mail will not work from your network.
In order to prevent this from happening, we urgently request all Network/system Administrator to carry out the following:
If you are running BIND UNIX machine download bind-9.5.0-P1.tar.gz and BIND9.5.0-P1.zip for Microsoft windows 2000/2003. The software can be downloaded from http://www.isc.org/index.pl

Land required to built BTS towers
Bhutan Telecom Limited plans to install B-Mobile BTS towers in Thimphu and nearby areas, as such; Bhutan Telecom would like to acquire the private land of area 5 to 10 decimals at prevailing market/competitive rate at Motithang, Chamzamtog, Taba Lungtenphu and Jungshina. The preferable locations are as given below:

Bhutan Telecom would like to inform the general public that the existing BTS in Damji has been upgraded to solve network congestion in Gasa Dzongkhag. B-Mobile users should now enjoy congestion free mobile services at Gasa Dzongkhag.
A new BTS tower has been set up at Khuruthang town in Punakha. These shall facilitate all B-Mobile users to access congestion free mobile services at Khuruthang and nearby places. Moreover, with a new BTS at Wangchu Taba in Thimphu B-Mobile coverage is available in Nabiphu where construction of college is going on. The BTS shall also improve the coverage between Simtokha and Babesa via old road. The site is expected to relieve the congestion of Seogang BTS as well.
B-Mobile users in Samtse have more to cheer about in the coming week as Bhutan Telecom shall make B-Mobile services available in whole of Changmari.
