BTL to phase out Operator Assisted calls (STD & IDD) from 1st August 2008

Bhutan Telecom Limited solicits cooperation and understanding from its valued customers that we will be discontinuing the following Operator Assisted call booking services w.e.f. 1st August, 2008, due to technical constraints:

1. Booking of calls to international destinations through 117
2. Booking of calls to India through 118 and
3. National call booking through 119.

Calls to International destination can be accessed through direct dialing facility without any extra cost unlike Operator Assisted calls. Therefore, BTL would like to request all our valued customers to avail Subscribers Trunk Dialing (STD) and International Direct Dialing (IDD) facilities for making domestic or international calls. Valued customers who do not have STD or IDD facility or those customers with only local call facility may contact your nearest BTL customer care office to avail/register STD and IDD facility.
